Privacy Policy
This policy describes how GeekLabs handles information when you play Defense Protocol on the web or through a native edition.
Summary
Defense Protocol does not require an account. Most game information stays on your device. Online score submission is enabled by default, can be turned off at any time, and sends only the information described below.
Information stored on your device
The game may store your chosen callsign, difficulty, sound preference, online-score preference, local leaderboard entries, and gameplay telemetry used for balance testing. Browser storage or native preferences keep this information on your device. GeekLabs does not receive it unless online score submission is enabled or you intentionally include it in a support request.
Optional global leaderboard
When online score submission is enabled, Defense Protocol automatically sends the following information at the end of a run:
- Public callsign
- Difficulty
- Score
- Wave reached
- Enemies defeated
- Submission time
Online submission can be turned off from the start or pause screen; local scores continue to work. Do not use your legal name or include private information in a leaderboard callsign. The highest 100 entries for each difficulty may be retained until displaced by other scores, removed during maintenance, or deleted following a valid request. Submissions outside that retained set are deleted automatically.
Network and service data
Cloudflare provides network delivery and security for GeekLabs services and may process IP addresses, request information, device or browser details, and diagnostic data under its own terms. GeekLabs application logs are limited to operational and security diagnostics and are rotated. We do not sell personal information or use Defense Protocol data for targeted advertising.
Support messages
If you contact support, GeekLabs receives the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device details, and issue description. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain service history, or meet legal obligations.
Deletion and privacy requests
To request removal of a leaderboard entry or support correspondence, email [email protected]. For a leaderboard request, include the displayed name, difficulty, score, and approximate submission date so the entry can be located. GeekLabs may request reasonable confirmation to prevent unauthorized removal.
Children
Defense Protocol is not designed to collect personal information from children. Players should use a non-identifying leaderboard name. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so it can be removed.
Security and international processing
GeekLabs uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in the United States and in locations where service providers operate.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the game and its services evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will change when material revisions are published.
